The Garden
A garden to disappear into
The garden is part of the house. Follow paths between mature trees and bougainvillea. Find a chair in the shade. Climb into the treehouse. Eat beneath the vines.
There is no need to fill the day.

The treehouse
Up a flight of timber steps, level with the canopy, there is a thatched room with a hammock and a view over the garden. It is the sort of place people claim on the first morning and return to for the rest of the week.
It is not an amenity. It is one of the reasons Mkoko is Mkoko: somewhere to read, nap, watch birds, and lose an afternoon entirely.
